I did something yesterday that I normally never do... I opened an email about a sale at Banana Republic, my favorite store. I started looking at their shirts (NOT the ones on sale), and I got a really bad itch to do some online shopping. I picked out a shirt and sweater that I liked.. and I thought I could talk Graham into letting me buy them because of how cute I'd look in them.
He doesn't like it. Whatever! What does a girl gotta do to buy an outfit around here?
It's not like Graham controls our spending, but we're just trying to be wise about our purchases. Do any of you have any good ideas on how I can convince Graham to let me buy these shirts?

Don't let your husband control the spending because you make the money?
And just because you think I'm not mad at you anymore doesn't mean you don't have to comment on my blog anymore. I comment on ALL of your posts. You suck.
You blog at least twice as much as I do
I comment twice more than you do.
I meant, I comment more than twice more than you do.
It's Graham, he won't ever care, good luck! Now if you wanted to splurge on say some steaks or something...
No good advice here, because all Justin has to do is show the slightest dislike for what I want to buy and then I know I won't enjoy it if he didn't want me to get it... so I don't buy it.
But I do think that if you really love it and it's high quality, it's worth it because you'll get so much use out of it!
Tell him he can buy something he wants.
i agree with graham and think you should not buy anything new unless it is from target (on sale), kmart, walmart, or an outlet or marshall's, ross, or tjmaxx. Particularly not from banana republic!!!! how much is it, 50 bucks or something? I'm just really cheap though and the opposite of you shopping-wise. I hate spending money, it makes me mad, unless I have plenty, but I still hate it. i'm part man. But, it's just going to make you mad forever if he tells you that and you do not come to that conclusion on your own. i love how we are all analyzing your marriage stuff on here.
No help here. Much to my mother's dismay, I haven't been a shopper since I graduated from High School and she stopped taking me shopping. Actually, the only semi cute things I own are things she has bought me out of disgust for my wardrobe. It saddens her that unlike her, I've been able to walk away from being a shopper for a couple years and have become a poor, badly dressed and accessorized house wife. It makes me laugh just thinking about how much it bugs her =). I just hope I can remember how to shop once I have the funds again. Does one ever really forget how to shop?
