Ok.. this is probably the most serious blog post I'll ever write.. but I'm feeling political.
Anyways, I have to admit.. I was first excited by Obama running for president. I felt like our country needed change, and he represented a big change. But after inspecting his platform, I decided his ideals were a little too radical for me. #1 thing I don't want: universal health care.
One thing that's been driving me nuts about Obama's campaign is how his supporters idolize him, calling him "The One".. likening him practically to a Messiah. Isn't it dangerous to have such high expectations in one man? Should we worship our country's president?
Dave Chappelle said on his show.. "you should never be the first black person to do anything", because there'll be a horrible story associated with it.
Our country is more progressive than it used to be, and we're not all racist.. but it's possible that attempted assassinations will happen during Obama's presidency. I think Obama is going to be remembered as a JFK for our generation. Young, attractive.. represents hope.. and might die young as a president?
A working mom's musings on life, nutrition, beauty, and home making. Nothing too important.

I love the never be a black person thing. I used to love him too. But everyone is so annoying.
I'm sorry, but even though we're ready for a change, he is NOT the one I want in charge of it. Sorry.
Justin's high school students have all been saying that to him - that Obama will be assassinated. I hope he isn't, but you're right, if he were, it would be a lot like JFK.
I don't hope that he is killed...but I do hope he pulls a Clinton and doesn't do anything while in office. That would be the best case scenario at this point. He is a socialist and pathetic American. God bless these people as they have some of the most radical ideas I have ever seen in high ranking officials.
I got pretty upset last night when the winner was announced (my apologies to Scott). My only hope is that he WILL turn out to be middle ground on most things and NOT follow through with many of the things he said he'd do (universal health care, universal college, universal everything for everyone, pulling out of Iraq ASAP). My office is having a celebratory lunch at our staff meeting today because of the "new light in our country". Gag. At least Prop 8 passed.
Yep.
That is, Yep to pretty much all that has been said here.
Sorry, I may have misled a few...Clinton did DO some things while in office. I don't remember all of their names from so long ago...
Oh Jacob. Come on.
Monica. Paula. hahaha
