Yes, I know there must be opposition in all things, that we may know the good from bad the bad, the light from the dark, the pain from the joy...
But does Portland HAVE to be so rainy? It's so depressing.
However, when it is a sunny day in Portland, it is absolutely gorgeous. You can see all of the big mountains in the disance, and all you want to do is soak in the sunshine. Really, all hell breaks loose in Portland when there's a sunny day after a week or two without sun. People leave work early, and bikers are out in full force.
What makes it even worse is that I can't go outside and enjoy the nice weather.. My thesis has taken over my life. Literally. It is all I do. I don't even know Graham anymore. My life has turned back into what it was before I met Graham: sad, lonely, and full of schoolwork.
There is a bit of light at the end of this tunnel...
I deliver my oral defense in 2.5 weeks. That's not so bad right?
So, from all of this opposition, all of the hard work, I will truly understand and appreciate the lack of schoolwork and free evenings.

I never though I'd say this, but I'd rather it be rainy that snowing still. Ugh. Though today it was sunny, that doesn't mean it wont snow again tomorrow. I hate Utah with a passion...

I can't believe you're doing a thesis. Crazy! What's the topic? Good luck with it. And I have just really kicked in my meal planning-- right now I'm trying a 4-week cycle, have my grocery lists planned so I can just go 1x/ week, etc. Are we normal?? :)
